Black Canary

I really like the artwork on this story-! And, yes, the model at the end is not that bad either. LOL

Alex Toth did the art. He drew comics for a time but was most famous for his character design work for Hanna Barbera in the 1960's. Designing the looks for Space Ghost, the Herculoids, Johnny Quest and others. And redesigning Superman, Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman and Aquaman as cartoons for the Super Friends. He really had a talent for creating interesting looks for charaters. And even in this Black Canary story, you can see how each character has a specific look, some really gruesome, others amazingly ordinary. And Black Canary never looked better. And I love his use of deep shadows to give everything a creepy atmosphere and tension. Good stuff.
