Super Friends, season 1, volume 1 has finally come out on dvd, with 8 hour long episodes on 2 discs. I'll give you a review once I've finished watching them all. This is of course the only Wendy, Marvin and Wonder Dog season. They were quickly replaced by the Wonder Twins and Gleek in both the show and comic book from that point on. Fun facts, Marvin is voiced by Frank Welker famous for many voices including Freddy from Scooby-doo, he voiced Darkseid, Toyman, Joker, Mr. Mxyzptlk also for Super Friends episodes over the years, and voices for Transformers, G.I Joe, Ghostbusters and too many more to list. Wendy is voiced by Sherry Alberoni, actress and former mouseketeer, who also voiced the rich skunk haired brat Alexandra on "Josie and the pussycats." Actor Ted Knight from "Mary Tyler Moore", "Caddyshack" and "Too close for comfort" fame is the narrator in episodes as well as some of the villains in this season. Certainly, this was not the best season of the Super Friends but this is where it all started, and I'm glad it's finally available. Press play below...
