Next is the 1980's flashback episode "lows in the mid-eighties" we zoom back in time to when Grace and (still in gay denial) Will were dating, and she brings Will home to meet the family for Thanksgiving break and to finally have sex with him. But the closer they get, the more Will realizes the truth that he's gay and continuing with Grace will only hurt her. He phones Jack who pushes his buttons but in the end, Will comes out to Grace and starts living his life honestly. Meanwhile, Karen turns down 3 proposals while dancing and meets Rosario for the first time.
Next up, we have "movable feast" an episode where we spend a little time with each person's family for Thanksgiving. Karen visits with her husband Stan in prison--but they fight because Stan doesn't want her to be lonely and encourages Karen to have an affair. Then they visit with Grace's family--she fights with her mom because her mom loves to tell her "I told you so." Next they visit with Jack's step dad---they fight because he now acts like a real father with Jack's son Elliot more than he ever did with Jack as a boy. And last, they visit Will's waspy family, and Will gets treated as if he's not important because he's gay and his brothers are straight and have families--and he fights. They go home and feel horrible and pissed. So, each goes back to their families again to have it out with them and confront their issues. And they all work it out. And Rosario eats the whole turkey while they're gone.
And last we have the episode "queens for a day" where Will is cooking Thanksgiving dinner in Queens for his boyfriend Vince and his family. Vince's mom hates Will and he loves Vince so much that Will is trying his best to please her. Jack helps Vince's sister who's engaged to a guy to come out as the lesbian she is. And Grace and Karen both make out with a hot cousin of Vince's not realizing he's only 16. Ahhh, to quote Karen "the holiday whore is back!" The dinner is a shambles and Will gets too drunk to drive. It's perfect dysfunction---like real families. :)

Love alla these episodes. Such a great, ground-breaking show. And Bobby Cannavale as his boyfriend?
