It's the Wednesday mini dance par-Tay! : Spice Girls, where are they now edition...

Congrats to Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) for finally giving birth to a baby girl (she already has 3 boys.) What's she been up to since the spice days you ask? VB we know is married to sport star David Beckham, they live in America, she's acted on Ugly Betty as seen below, and in between all that she dresses celebrities for the red carpet in her own successful clothing line. Plus she's rolling in money---not bad for the being considered the "untalented one" of the group.

....................But what about the other girls? Well, we know a few years back Mel B (Scary Spice) was the runner up on America's "Dancing with the stars" (what most people don't know is the year before in the UK on "Strictly come dancing" ---which is the show America's "Dancing with the stars" is based off of and shares some of the same judges---that Emma (Baby Spice) Bunton was also the runner up and most likely cleared the way for Mel B to be chosen as a contestant for the American version. Lightning struck twice. Mel B currently has her own reality show filming for the style network. Around that time the ladies did a very cute series of Holiday commercials for "Tesco" stores, as they prepared for a reunion tour that Spring........

......All are now mothers, and all have done a variety of things since they originally broke up. The girls have each dabbled in solo music too. With Mel C (Sporty Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) being the most succesfull over Mel B and Victoria....

...Mel C (Sporty) tends to keep her tattoos covered these days. She says that she's less recognized in public when they're hidden. But a few years ago she released a dancable cover version of "I want Candy"....

...Geri Halliwell (Ginger) went solo first and had a couple of #1 hits in the UK, and 3 solo albums. She also was a judge for a season of Simon Cowell's "X-Factor" show in the UK. His American version will be hitting here in the US this fall. And after being a judge Geri released this cheeky song "Ride it" from her 3rd album soon after...

...Emma Bunton (Baby) also had several UK songs. I've posted a few before (if you look under the dance label) but, here she is dancing to the Ricky Martin song "Maria" on "Strictly come Dancing" looking really hot...

...Emma also made guest appearances on the hit show "Absolutely Fabulous" as herself. And speaking of Ab Fab, the show's star and writer Jennifer Saunders (who has recently recovered from cancer) has written the story to the coming soon to Broadway play "Spice Girls Musical." Yes, following in the tradition of "Mamma Mia" and "Rock of Ages" she has built a show around the songs and music of the Spice Girls. It's sure to be funny and a hit. And later this summer Jennifer will be teaming again with Joanna Lumley (Patsy) for new episodes of "Absolutely Fabulous." Maybe the Spices will guest. Either way, new Ab Fab! I can't wait.
